Western Liverpool Festival of Performing Arts 2019

WLFPA

Our CPS performing arts students did a fantastic job performing at the WLFPA during September.

Over the past week students from Cartwright Public School have performed spectacularly in dance, drumming and choir at the Western Liverpool Performing Arts Festival. Across Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 over 40 students joined 100's of other students at Club Marconi to put on a fabulous show for parents, carers, family and friends.

Tuesday night saw our 3-6 Senior Dance Group take the stage taking the audience on a trip down Disney's memory lane. The girls did a fantastic job dancing along to the Little Mermaid, the Lion King and Frozen.

Wednesday night our K-2 Junior Dance Group had their chance to take the audience for a flashback journey as they 'rocked around the clock'. Their gorgeous smiles and cute costumes won themselves some definite fans. Our Drumming Group also took on Tuesday night with their own composition piece. They drummed their ways from birth through childhood in a very clever way.

Finally our Choir wrapped us up on Thursday night singing beautifully along with other schools as part of the combined schools choir group.

It was a fantastic opportunity for all of our students to shine up on stage and we were so proud of everyone that took part.

A massive thank you to all the teachers and staff involved with our dance, drumming and choir groups. Thank you to all the families who helped with preparing for the concert and coming along each night to support our students.
